Attending San Diego Comic-Con or visiting the Gaslamp Quarter? Short on cash? You’ve got to eat, so here’s a list of Cheap Eats in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter — most are $5 or less.
[UPDATED 4/24/18]
Comic-Con is an event many save up all year long for. With tickets, travel, and hotels — not to mention items you might want to buy in the exhibit hall — it can get expensive. Sometimes having a super cheap place to eat is vital, so we’ve put together a list of places in (or very close to) the Gaslamp Quarter where you can get some cheap eats while at San Diego Comic-Con.
When deciding what restaurants or places that we should list in this post, we decide to go with those where you could eat for about $5 or less. We didn’t list places that are mainly a dessert-only spot, but those where you could get something more lunch or dinner-ish, such as a burger, sandwich, or even a quesadilla. We wouldn’t be surprised if we missed a few places, so if you know of another place to eat cheaply in the Gaslamp District while at Comic-Con, leave us a comment and let us know.
ComicCon Family Insider Tip: Some restaurants will give you a discount when you show your Comic-Con badge. Don’t be shy about asking! If you don’t ask, you won’t know. You can also download coupons to save at restaurants during Comic-Con.
Note: Due to changing menus, prices, hours, etc. some of the details below could be outdated, depending on when viewed. Visit the restaurant websites for most recent info. During Comic-Con, please note that some restaurants change their menu and not all items listed in this post may be available.

Mmm! Sushi Deli is one of my favorites! And in Westfield Horton Plaza you can eat at Nordstrom’s Cafe. Little tip… get a 1/2 sandwich and salad for a cheaper meal!
