San Diego Comic-Con Survival Guide

Our first year of attending San Diego Comic-Con was in 2011. The previous year, our daughter attended by herself, so when we went in as first-timers in 2011, we had someone with us who had a bit of experience. This was VERY helpful because attending San Diego Comic-Con is loads of fun, it’s also CRAZY. There was so much to learn and figure out.

Each year, we’ve made it our mission to learn more and more about attending Comic-Con. We consider it our job to figure it all out, so we can bring it all back to families who also want to attend. But, while we share a lot of of our own San Diego Comic-Con tips here on our blog, but we also learn a lot from other Comic-Con experts.

One of our favorites: Tony Kim of Crazy 4 Comic Con.

Tony Kim of Crazy4ComicCon

We became aware of Tony during our first Comic-Con trip. Our daughter followed him on Twitter (or his blog, can’t remember for sure) and she had learned a lot from him. As a matter of fact, she felt so thankful to him for his advice that when she recognized him near the Ballroom 20 line, she called out to him because she wanted to thank him in person for all his help. Since then, we’ve become one of his fans as well, and we are happy to be one of blogs sharing the San Diego Comic-Con space with him.

Shout! Factory

This year, Tony is part of an exciting new feature. He has partnered with Shout! Factory to create a brand new video series called the SDCC Survival Guide 2015. Tony shares the very best insider tips for getting the most out of your visit.

If you’ll be attending Comic-Con this year, you’ll want to check these videos out. While they are perfect for first-timers, we even learned some new tricks. For your convenience, we’ve included the first 3 videos in the series below but be sure to check out the full Comic-Con Tips series here: SDCC Survival Guide 2015
