San Diego Comic-Con Tips: Hall H Line Restrooms #sdcc

July 19, 2014 by Noelle Leave a Comment

We all have to go at some point!  To help you find the restroom closest to your place in the San Diego Comic-Con Hall H line, we’ve put together a location list of  Hall H Line Restrooms.

Note: this post is unofficial and in no way affiliated with Comic-Con International – it is based on our experience as San Diego Comic-Con attendees San Diego Comic-Con Tips - Hall H Line Restrooms #sdcc

The infamous Hall H line has become a part of the norm at San Diego Comic-Con. It’s long, it wraps around, and sometimes it takes forever to get to the end. But with Hall H being the largest room at the San Diego Comic-Con (it holds about 6,500 people!), it hosts some of the most popular panels for blockbuster movies and TV shows.

No matter what movie or show is coming to Hall H, fans come out to line up for hours and many even camp overnight. You can only get into the Hall H area when you officially make it to the start of the line, so it’s not an option to enter just to use the restroom – even if you have young children. Regardless if you you are at the front the line, or somewhere near the end, you will need to know where the closest hall H line restrooms are. With Comic-Con giving wristbands for the first Hall H panel each day, it’s even more important to know where the closest restrooms are so you don’t miss a chance getting one of those wrists bands.

Here’s our Hall H Line Restroom Guide – in order of distance from Hall H:

Lobby G Restrooms: The San Diego Convention Center Lobby G restrooms will be open at 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Tuesday – Saturday nights, making it the best option for Hall H Line campers. If it’s after 9:30am, it’s also a great option for anyone who is in line under the white tents or not far from the tents. Since it’s located inside the Convention Center, you won’t have to bring your own toilet paper, there is sinks with water & soap, and it will be well lit (unlike the marina/park restrooms I mention later).

Hilton Bayfront Restrooms - Outside near Parking Garage #sdcc

Hilton Bayfront Restrooms – Outside near Parking Garage

Hilton Bayfront Restrooms: These restrooms are outside of the parking garage (on the first level), close to the Starbucks. They are usually not open during the middle of the night, so they aren’t a good option for Hall H line camping, but they are a good hall H line restrooms option for early morning bathroom breaks or during the daytime.

5th Avenue Pier - Marina Restrooms #sdcc

5th Avenue Pier / Marina Restrooms: These restrooms are behind the convention center and, while they are open during the day, there is no guarantees that they will keep them open all night. Two things to remember about these Hall H line restrooms:  they don’t have any lights and they could run out of toilet paper. But if you have to go, you have to go. If they do keep them open at night and you are camping in the Hall H line, make sure to bring your cell phone for light (beware: don’t drop it in the toilet!) and you might want to bring your own toilet paper if you have it.

Embarcadero Marina Park South Restrooms: As the Hall H line gets longer, you may find yourself in the Embarcadero Marina Park South. While you’ll have beautiful views, you also feel like you are miles away from Hall H. Located near the end of the of the parking lot, near the San Diego Bay, is another set of restrooms. Again, there is no guarantees that these will be open at night for Hall H campers, but they should be open during daytime hours.

More Restrooms: Depending on the time of day, you can also find restrooms in other areas of the San Diego Convention Center, at businesses in the Gaslamp Quarter, inside the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, and at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina.
