Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has been released and we LOVED it, even if it did leave us stunned and heartbroken! If you haven’t seen it, we recommend that you get tickets and see it on the big screen. We saw it the first weekend, in one of our favorite theaters complete with luxury reclining seats. It was so good, guys. You have to go see it.
If you’ve been visiting us for any period of time, you know that we enjoy sharing Marvel crafts and other fun items with all of you. One of most favorites (and most popular) is our DIY Avengers Superhero Shoes. We also enjoy sharing free printables, like Avengers Coloring Pages. If you have kids who are excited about Avengers: Infinity War, we’re excited to share another fun project that you can do together to celebrate the newest movie to be released by Marvel.
We’re showing you how to make DIY Avengers Infinity Stones Crayons. These are fun for kids to use and they also make a great gift idea when you package it together with some other items, like Avengers coloring books.
To make these DIY Avengers Infinity Stones Crayons, you’ll need only a couple items. You will need an oven-safe jewel-shaped silicone mold and crayons.
For the jewel-shaped mold, you can buy these at most craft stores. The one that you see in our photos was purchased at Hobby Lobby, but there are ones that you can get on online too, like this 3D Diamonds Gem Silicone Mold. No matter which silicone mold you do use, make sure the mold is oven safe up to at least 300° F.
For the crayons, you will need 6 different crayon colors that will match the 6 Infinity Stones. You will need 2 crayons of each color, although this could vary slightly if you use a different silicone mold than what we show in the photos. We recommend using Crayola Crayons, but you could use any brand you prefer.
The crayon colors you will need are:
- Blue = Space Stone
- Yellow = Mind Stone
- Red = Reality Stone
- Purple = Power Stone
- Green = Time Stone
- Orange = Soul Stone
To get started making your own DIY Avengers Infinity Stones Crayons, you will start by peeling the wrapper off the crayons that you will be melting in the silicone mold. Break the crayons into pieces that will fit inside the silicone mold cavities. Place the broken crayon pieces into the cavities, one color per section. If you are making the 6 Infinity Stone colors, you will fill 6 gem-shaped cavities as shown in the photo below.
Place your silicone mold on a baking sheet and place in a 300 degree F preheated oven for 5-7 minutes or until the crayons are completely melted.
After the crayons are completely melted, carefully remove the baking sheet/silicone mold from the oven. Allow the melted crayons to cool completely, which will take at least 1 hour. Once the Avengers Infinity Stones Crayons are completely cooled and firm, gently pop each gem crayon out of its mold.
Your Avengers Infinity Stones Crayons are now ready to use or give as a gift to your favorite Avengers fan!
