We’re headed to Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles!

It’s here! Today we’re headed to Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

It will be our first time attending Comikaze and needless to say, we’re beyond excited!

For those unfamiliar with Comikaze, it’s a huge, multi-media pop culture convention. It’s just their second year, they had 45,000 attendees. This year proves to be even bigger for fans of comics, gaming, horror, sci-fi, fantasy and anime. The convention center is going to be packed full of vendors and exhibitors (we know we’ll be getting some Christmas shopping done), interactive contests, celebrity autograph signings, screenings, panel sessions and gaming tournaments.

Here’s what Stan Lee says about it: “Comikaze continues to grow bigger and better every year and the offerings this year are going to be immensely enjoyable for all of our attendees. It’s great to have such a fun-filled expo that attracts the Hollywood crowd just as much as the geek, comic and gaming crowd and it’s all right here in our backyard – Los Angeles!”

Our whole family usually goes together to San Diego’s Comic-Con, but for this it will just be us and our youngest son. He’s a huge Stan Lee fan and is hoping to see him this weekend. I think our chances are pretty good of seeing him, but we’ll see how it all works out.

If you live near LA, or at least within driving distance, Comikaze tickets are still available. They start at $25 a day or $60 for a 3-day pass. That’s a pretty great deal. The last we checked, you can still buy them online, but you can also buy them at the door.

• Friday, November 1, from 1p.m. to 8 p.m.
• Saturday, November 2, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Sunday, November 3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

COST

• $25 per day, or $60 for 3-day pass
• FREE for children under 12
