Exciting news if you were a 90’s Nickelodeon kid – the classic ‘90s hit series, Rocko’s Modern Life, has a TV special coming out in 2018!
Rocko’s Modern Life was an animated series, created by Joe Murray, that followed the adventures of an Australian wallaby named Rocko (Carlos Alazraqui) and his two friends, Heffer (Tom Kenny) and Filburt (Doug Lawrence), through their adventures in their home of O-Town. The show originally aired from 1993 through 1996.
At a panel at San Diego Comic–Con 2017, Nickelodeon shared an exclusive sneak peek of their brand-new upcoming TV special called “Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling”, coming to Nickelodeon in 2018.
Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling will bring our favorite characters back to Earth after being lost in outer space since 1996. Heffer and Filburt embrace every aspect of 21st-century modern life — the new technology, social media, and endless food trucks and BuzzBucks.
Rocko, on the other hand, has trouble accepting this modern world. But he wholeheartedly believes that his nostalgia for the past can save him from the tortures of the modern world.
The Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling TV special will premiere on Nickelodeon in 2018, but in the meantime, you can watch the sneak peek right here:
