10+ Best Superhero Costumes (that you can make yourself)

If your kids are anything like ours, then dressing up as a favorite superhero happens all throughout the year – and not just at Halloween time. Our youngest son (now 13) dressed up as Spider-Man almost daily  when he was younger. There were times that he wore his Spider-Man costumes more than his regular clothes.

Beyond Spider-Man, there were plenty of other superhero costumes over the years. Sometimes it was just as simple as making a cape out of one of the bath towels and a hair elastic. Does this happen at your house too? Whether your kids are dressing up with things around the house, or you are spending hours at the sewing machine, we think it’s worth it. The years our little ones dressed up were some of the best years and as they say, they do grow up fast.

Since we knew many of you have kids who love to dress up as superheroes, we scoured the web to find the best of the best superhero costumes that you can make yourself. We have photos and links below, so click on the photo or title to visit these amazingly creative blogs. We think you’ll agree that these bloggers are pretty awesome.
